Rehabilitation of Delft Main Road from Stellenbosch Arterial to Roosendaal Avenue in Delft

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate wants to advise residents and road users in the Delft area of roadworks on Delft Main Road, between the Stellenbosch Arterial intersection and Rosendaal Avenue traffic circle. The work is scheduled to take place today, 26 June 2023, from 09:00 to 15:30. The road will be closed to traffic in both directions and road users are advised to use alternative routes between these hours. 

Appropriate signage will be in place for the roadworks and the alternative route is via Delft Main Road, Fort Worth Road, Symphony Way and Stellenbosch Arterial. Road users and pedestrians are requested to adhere to the signage displayed over this period.

'The weather is on our side today and we can proceed with this job as speedily as possible. To minimise the impact on traffic we have chosen to do this work from 09:00 to 15:30 today only. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and patience during the course of this work,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
